About
I am a senior research scientist at Honda Research Institute USA. My research focuses on spoken interaction with machines. Specifically, I am interested issues related to speech recognition, turn-taking, speech synthesis, and dialog management in the context of spoken dialog systems. While I focused on telephone-based systems during my PhD, I am now broadening the scope of my work to human-robot interaction and other situated interaction scenarios.
